Can no longer find the OEM parts I need

The kawasaki website updated and I can no longer get to my parts diagrams (1982 GPz750). First, if anyone knows where to find those diagrams, that'd be sweet. I've tried bike bandit and partzilla, but the parts I'm looking for are either superseded or there are no diagrams.

My starter button broke, so I got a "universal" style. Unfortunately, the throttle sleeve hooks into the stock control, so I decided to just get one of these:
www.dimecitycycles.com/vintage-cafe-race...ssembly-70-1053.html

More misfortune as my stock throttle cable doesn't fit into this! Or any aftermarket throttle assemblies I can find.

And, again, unfortunately, I broke my throttle cable trying to make something work.

So here's the question: What kind of aftermarket throttle setups do any of you run on your bikes? I'm at a loss of how to make something - anything! - work.

Can life really get much better?

That is indeed a good question. It seems all of our bikes are gone. I can chose my year unlike you, but only offroad is in the 1984 category!

If it was mine I would just replace the stock setup and not fight with aftermarket junk. Ed

So, all you need is the grip, to pull the cables? You got everything else? Drop me a PM... might even have a button for ya. Got soldering skills?

Did he get a new "universal" start button? Or a complete new aftermarket right handlebar control switch assy?

The stock throttle grip assy may be available from the Kaw dealer.
If so, Z1Enterprises.com can get it.

Looks like some more of us need to email kawasaki.com and tell them of our disappointment that they have discontinued parts lists for anything over 30 years old!
