Airbox holes ports at bottom - what are these for? was created by FaultedGeologist
My airbox has holes at the bottom front that I thought were for the overflow from the carbs. I swear I have seen pics or manual information that shows this flow, though now I cannot find it. Please see pic below and let me know what this is for. The bike is a 1981 KZ750 LTD 4/H. Do these need to be plugged? They obviously let air in without being filtered or providing suction pressure.

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationThose holes are for routing the carburetor overflow tubing. Otherwise, plug the holes.
The Air Cleaner diagram shows a couple of grommets (NLA) & there are a couple of Y-fittings in the Carburetor diagram (Active).

Per my FSM and Haynes reading, I also thought they were for the carb overflow tubes (which my bike has never had since I purchased it). What is the recommended course of action - hoses to airbox or routed down behind engine to drip on ground?
