Hey everyone,
I just got a 82 750 twin that had been sitting for a while. I bought a set of carbs on Ebay. slapped them on and the bike stared right up. problem is after it runs a while. fuel starts pouring out of the carbs into the air box. I took the bowls off. the floats seem to be working. i took them out and they float. the needles look good too. anyone seen this?

thanks in advance

Welcome Dave...

Please get yourself a Service manual. The Kawasaki manual is far better than any of the 3rd party manuals.

Sounds like the floats are not set properly and need adjustment. The service manual will tell you all you need to know...

Suspects would include:
• leaking float valve;
• cracked overflow tube;
• too high fuel level.

Would also check the crankcase oil for possible fuel contamination.

Good Fortune! :)

Thanks,
I have a manual and I'll check again. I manage a rather large collision repair shop. But all this stuff is fuel injected. lol I'm finding that bikes are a different animal.
