Hose clamp or coil spring was created by calvinhobbesfan92
Hi everybody. I just bought a 83 Spectre 550. The coil springs were gone from the air box so, my question is- can I just use hose clamps or do I have to use the coil springs on the air boots to the carb?

I suspect hose clamps will work, but they won't look as good as the springs, so why not just buy a new set of springs? They are still an "Active" Kawasaki part, so any dealer can order them. Ed

Those little springs are expensive new.
SS clamps will be fine, since it probably isn't a stock show bike. :)
Don't over-tighten the clamps & damage the ducts... just snug them up.
