79 KZ650D Cable Pulley Replace

I have a broken cable pulley on the carb pack for my 79 KZ650D. I have purchased the new pulley, and am having trouble disassembling the carb pack to replace the pulley. Any help on how to replace this pulley would be greatly appreciated, as I'm trying very hard to get this bike running. I want to use the original duel cable system, so replacing this pulley is a must (meaning I don't want to just switch to using one cable)

Nothing wrong with using 1 cable I have been using 1 cable for 30+ years with no issues.

Can you provide a couple pictures of how far you got tearing down the carbs. (BTW, I'm a 2 cable man too). Ed

I was able to figure out what I had to do to remove the connector rod holding the pulley, but thank you all for your help
