Replacement rubber boots for choke? was created by Shdwdrgn
1981 KZ1000J, all four rubber boots on the brass choke pieces are falling apart. Is the rubber replaceable, or do I have to get the entire assembly to replace these? Can anyone tell me what these parts would be named, and provide suggestions where I might find replacements?

Thanks for the info, and holy crap those things are expensive! I'm guessing the choke won't work properly if this piece isn't properly sealed by an intact rubber boot?

I think that these are just dust seals.
I would have to check but I think there is an internal rubber 'o' ring on the brass choke tube that seals it.
I have a set of BS34's from a GS at work will check tomorrow

Ah ok... then maybe I'll just replace the ones that are completely split. Guess it depends on funds, but its probably worthwhile to replace them all now, while the carbs are apart. I'm really hoping I don't have to take them apart again any time soon...
