I took five sessions of ride data. I then logged several AFR rpm point readings per session. (for example) I took 25 AFR points FROM 3000 rpm and added them up and divided by 25 to get adv.

I have some lean spots to root out

5000 - 7000 could use some more fuel.

These are RPM / AFR graph numbers.

1100: IDLE 12.5 AFR
2000: 13.00 AFR
3000: 13.00 AFR
4000: 12.85 AFR
5000: 13.87 AFR
6000: 14.02 AFR
7000: 14.20 AFR
8000: 12.66 AFR
9000: 11.98 AFR
10,000: 10.70 AFR

All positions from Zero to just before 1/2 throttle are awesome.

1/2 throttle is in need of tuning? high AFR numbers here.

3/4 throttle seems better than 1/2 throttle.

Full throttle is in need of tuning? low AFR numbers here.

Now if I'm going through gears it does ok, could be better.

Its still throttle opening that dictates jetting, not rpm. When you tune with an afr you have to be aware of the position of the throttle. The main jet is really only wide open.

Yes your right,

it changes also due to load. If you open it up in first gear and then 5 gear the readings are different.

I have noticed that half throttle tends to have a stumble or flutter feel between 5000 and 7000 rpm. The AFR in this area will go from 13.8 to 15.8 indicating a lean spot. Will raise needle one and see if lean spot levels out.

The engine wants to lay over a bit at full throttle, with AFR moving downward 12.80 to 10.70 or lower, maybe a bit to rich at full. Might want to bump main down from 125 to 122.5 and see.

All throttle positions below 1/2 throttle is good and bike likes being in this area. My issues start at 1/2 to full throttle.

Just messing around with AFR tuner. I wanted to see how much the octane would change the bikes AFR number.

I ran tank low and tried the different octanes, this was the results.

89 octane with bike in 5th gear cruise at 45 mph the AFR was at 14.0 - 14.2

93 octane with bike in 5th gear cruise at 45 mph the AFR was at 13.5 - 13.8

112 octane with bike in 5th gear cruise at 45 mph the AFR was at 11.5 - 11.8

Just wanted to share data so people understand how octane effects Air Fuel Ratio.

The bike was tuned to run on 93 octane.
