Carb measurements? kinda Urgent was created by Hemmek
Hello again does anybody know the measurements on the carb bridge for a kz750 E1 1980?
I am thinking about replacing my keihins for a set of bs34 but the seller want to know if I want them by tomorrow.
kinda fucked up my hand in a fit of anger  (bad bad day today) and tomorrow I will be leaving for work and not be able to work on my bike until next weekend.
(I will continue my testing whit idle jets replacements even if I get those new carbs btw)
The measurements I need from the intake side of the carbs (not the filter side)
is center to center distance between carb no.1-no.2 no.2-no.3 and no.3-no.4
External diameter on the intake side.
And the external diameter on the filter side.
Best regards H

Thank goodness I don't HAVE carbs!!! BUT I have been swapping heads for years, KZ and GPZ Canadian and USA stuff. The carb spacing is the same on all 650-750 bikes I believe the boot to airbox might be the only change, (I doubt it) simple check online part search will tell you if boot numbers are the same, I think they are. My GPZ-83 INTAKE TO HEAD BOOT has a 38mm opening for carb, but has built in o-ring at 36mm that fits in groove or slot on carb neck. I only measured with ruler, not that critical. The 700 also has "34's", My book shows both carbs on same page in '83' for the kz and gpz model........no worries................Ray+KAZU...........

Thing is the carb bridge he sells is from a Suzuki gsx 1100 1982.
I he has sent me the measurements from his bridge.
and it is
between 1-2 and 3-4 78mm
and between 2-3 94 mm
external diameter on intake side of carb 42mm
and external diameter on filter side 55mm
Btw NICE bike, have to dry my keyboard now

IIRC
Most Kaws and Suzukis share the same cylinder spacing which is 77-93-77... this includes GSX600, GSX-R750/1100 (air/oil cool), all the Z1 and KZs such as KZ650/750/900/1000/1100 regardless of early, MKII or J motor. The only Kaws I know with a different spacing are 77-85-77 and that would be the Ninja 900/1000 and the Yamaha FJ1100 and FJ1100 share that spacing.
