Yes they will fit however there is NO WAY I would pay that kind of money for BS34 carbs.

Unless you're putting those 34s in a bike with a factory airbox and reasonably stock exhaust, getting them set up to work is going to be a challenge. A set of vm28s would be a much better choise, as would a set of 29s. For the money, you may also want to look into a set of modern RT34 carbs (IIRC).

I was thinking TM Flat Sides, but then remembered RS, then doubted myself and ended up with neither. 8-0
There have been a few people extolling the virtues of the TM Flat Sides lately. They say they clatter a little bit, but are very good carbs.
A set of RS34 carbs would probably work just as well. Good quality, available new from Sudco, years of performance have made them a good carb for your application.
Because of the way the BS34 carbs work, hooking them up in anything but a stock situation is really, really challenging. You can get them to work at high RPMs, but you'll have stumbles and diminished power production at the low end. If you tune them so they work well at the low end, they punk out and get seriously lean as you move up the power band. The intake system designed around these carbs was done deliberately and changes to the parameters of that system negatively effect their performance.

It had a set of bs34s on it when my dad was ill.
It dynoed with them and as you say it ran like crap on the bottom.but was real sharp up top 115bhp it ran with These!
Iam just on a realy tight budget at the moment as iam trying to put it on the road in time for the anniversary of my dad's death and take it to the Silverstone Motogp on a memorial ride. If I could afford a set of rs34s I.would I think it will end up being some vm28s unless a set TMs come.up or the suzuki gsxr vm29ss carbs!
What throttle cable set up do i need for vm28s is it a push pull
Thank.you for your help

Pull only or push-pull. The cable end is a threaded barrel that attaches to the bracket above the throttle halfmoon.

When everything's working properly, the 2nd throttle cable isn't a functional requirement.
For many years, motorcycles had only one throttle cable and relied on a carb return spring -- sometimes much weaker than a typical KZ carb return spring -- to lower the throttle slide upon closure of the throttle grip.
Some folks have installed a weaker carb return spring (hardware store item) to reduce hand and wrist fatigue at continuous cruising throttle positions.
Others have removed the spring altogether and relied on using the 2nd cable to close the throttle (caveat: racing engine in a tip-over situation), which affords very easy throttle control for even a 90# weakling.
With otherwise as-new components, a weak carb return spring should return the carb to idle position without any throttle cable attached to the carb.
Good Fortune!
