Carb vent overflow
25 May 2014 06:24
I have a 83 kz750n spectre that I picked up for 400. It wasn't running when I got it so I put a battery in it cleaned the carbs and it ran. Then I noticed it was leaking gas and I realized the petcock wasn't working so I put an inline filter and cutoff. The bowls were still overflowing so I followed the cleaning instructions here on the site. Now the overflow on the bottom isn't leaking but the vent between 2 and 3 is leaking and when you give it throttle the bike doesn't idle down. Why would it be leaking from the vent and from only one vent? What would cause it to not idle down?

Are you sure that's a vent? I'm not familiar with your carbs, but I am not aware of Kawasaki carbs having a vent between carbs 2&3. Got pics? Ed
