Idle adjustment isn't going good.

I tried to adjust the idle up and it did not go up then turned it the other way and it kept dying. Then turned the knob clockwise and it did come back up and will idle. But now when i crack the throtle it takes about 5 seconds for it to come back down to idle. Any suggestions?

I think a hanging idle can be caused by leaky carb boots.

Sounds like a vacuum leak. Spray some carb cleaner around your intake boots and listen for a change in idle. If the idle changes you have to replace the boots
