650 to 550 carb swap

hey guys new to forum.. first post...i have an '82 kz550 with slide carbs, i was wondering if anyone could tell me if the carbs off the 650 would swap over? if not what carbs will swap out???(cant find a stock set any where in my area).

any help would be appreciated!!!

Cylinder spacing is different between the 550 and the 650, so short answer, not gonna swap over

my bikes; 80kz1000(project), 77 gl1000, 74 h2 (project)
Past; 78 kz1000, 83 kz550

There are a number of carburetor sets listed on eebbaayy & most of them are over $100.
Is there something wrong w your current set?

There's a cheap set from an 81 550C listed right now on eebbaayy. The seller says the slides are frozen, but some penetrating oil may solve that so that you could use them for parts or something. I guess the 81 carbs are about the same as yours (?).
