1978 kz650b...I'm in the process of putting these back together and need some clarification for the clearance between carb bore and the bottom of the slide. My manual says to use a piece of wire 0.043" in diameter between the slide and carb bore. (Non pilot screw type. This is for air screw model VM24'S). Am I correct to assume the wire will be used on the back side of the carb, on the engine side? Not the front side where the pod filters are?
