The first thing I would do is get rid of the BS34 and use either Lectrons carbs, Mikuni RS series carbs or Keihin CR series carbs
How are you cooling that engine?

First thanks for responding. I understand where you are coming from on the carbs, but i have to work with what i got. as far as cooling goes nothing you dont drive them around you push it to the start and i use a pull back tractor for return plus depending on the track its only 200 to 300ft.

I'm wondering if those long intake runners (circled below) are making finding the right jetting combo more difficult than normal. Those long intakes along with the CV carbs and pods are bound to create quite a tuning challenge. Is there a reason for not using the normal carb holders? Ed

Conventional wisdom says the longer the intake tract, the lower rpm for max torque.
Formula 1 actually outlawed tunable intakes, the driver or the computer could adjust the intake length per rpm continuously.

Since that one has fixed length and doesn't change, it should be tunable just like any other.

Is that a Simplicity grill on there?

I suggest a wide band O2 sensor and controller with gauge, that way you'll know what you have, and have a base point at least. Data logging would be nice.

I wouldn't go with DynoJet stuff though, my buddy just called because he's pulling his hair out trying to get the WB2 and display wired and working, and he said tech support was worthless.

Ed, that pic was when I was running alcohol. And the carbs that I used had a wider spacing. So I slowly widened it with tube extensions. I don't have any of that on there anymore. Just stock carb holders running on gas.

In that case hopefully someone here with a similar setup can help with jetting suggestions. There are quite a few folks here with CV carbs, pods, and a 4 into 1 pipe. Ed
