I have had both carbs on my Kz

I think both carbs are good. One of the stand out features of the RS-34 is the accelerator pump. The RS carbs are far superior in throttle response. The RS carbs also offer numinous different needles and needle profiles that the VM carbs don't.

The RS carbs are simple to do a needle or jet change while carbs are on the bike. I can change all 4 needles in 10 minuet's.

The RS will idle a bit higher. Do to the size of the main venture 34mm. As the VM29's idle about 200 rpm less do to the 5mm less opening, less effort to draw air though.

The VM29 carbs are a bit easier to tune in my experience.
