Seems that I read where a member here was modifying a digital fuel injection system on a Kaw to work with an aftermarket control box.
Would appreciate a link or some info.

Thanks
Bill

KZ1300? MicroSquirt won't work if you plan on doing the ignition also, ought to work for fuel only though.
ZX11 converted to EFI with MegaSquirt II, ZX12 converted to MS3 with 8 injectors and Coil on plug.

You can go for anything from simple fuel only to more complicated performance options.

Maybe someone at the KZ1300 board has done something ?

The parts for Z & KZ1300 DFI systems are getting to be scarcer than donthavakawman's recent posts. I'm trying to build a system that would keep an injected 1300 on the road without resorting to purchasing used (worn) Kaw parts on evil-bay.
Thanks to everybody for their posts. I've got plenty to work with.

There's quite a few after market ECM's that would work for you.
Maybe talk to Lorcan on the GPz750 turbo site
those bike's run the same basic system.

I believe Lorcan has/had a ZX12R computer with a Power Commander on his 750 Turbo, or maybe just the Power Commander for a ZX12R, it's been awhile. The ZX12R runs sequential injection and is a four cylinder, so it wouldn't work very well on a six cylinder.
That might be a problem with most aftermarket ECUs, how many fuel injected six cylinder motorcycles are there? BMW1600 might be an option, but you'd need some way to edit the software, same with the Honda 1800, and aside from the Kawasaki 1300 those are the only six cylinder fuel injected bikes I'm aware of.
I think there is an ECU editor available for late model GM cars, maybe you could use an ECU off a car six cylinder? You're limited only by your imagination.

Still thinking: If you just want to run batch fire injection (fire all injectors at once), then you could use a lot of different ECUs, number of cylinders wouldn't matter. I'm not familiar with the 1300 system, but as long as the ignition is separate it would be pretty easy to use any batch fire ECU.
