On my 78 KZ1000A2a, I took apart the carbs today. I found the gaskets at Z1 but what about the choke plunger rubber cap? Do these need to be tight so it gets no air leak or not and my old ones still OK to reuse? What are these carbs called? They are pretty intricate with ALOT of parts.

Look like 28mm due to the accelerator pump hoses etc. on the fuel bowls.

If it's not too late, don't mix up parts between the different carbs. The parts tend to wear together and work best when they all stay in the carbs they started like in. Ed

How about the rubber grommets on top of the choke plunger guys. Do they need to be new to not get an air leak or is an air leak there no big deal?
