Jet size ??? was created by mrturbo
B) Just aquired a 1979 LTD B3 1000.In all original condition.
Odometer shows little over 12,000 miles.
Gas tank and carbs were drained at some point. All the drain screws on bowls were backed out.
Added a little fuel...Rotated the crank manually a few times.New Battery...Fired
right up!!!!
Gonna restore it...I just need a headlight assembly.
Question being is there a tried and true jet setup for K&N's singles and a kerker 4 into 1???
No baffle will be used....Thanks for any info....Always wanted a 79...My 78 was a little sluggish
but the 79 had the accel pump.
Thanks all for any info specific to 79.

Somewhere around a 125 main and a 17.5 pilot. I think yours came with 26 pumpers(I have a fresh set in the classifieds). Mine came with 28 pumpers on my 80 KZ, but it has Dynojet kits in it running the Kerker and pods myself. I want to say my carbs main jet equals to right around 130+, but I do have some added compression.

1980 KZ1000 LTD-B4(MK II engine) - Progressive suspension, MTC pistons, Dynojet Stage III, all wear items replaced, WFO paint scheme(1978), etc..

Past bikes- 2 1976 Kz900's, 5 1975-76 Honda CB750's, Honda 500 -4, Honda 250, Honda 125, Honda 100, Suzuki RM 250, Honda XL350, Kawasaki KLR 650, etc..
