its a freshly rebuiilt 77 kz1000, new rings, valve job, etc.
originally purchased for 400 bucks, total basket case, hadn't run since '02, didn't have carbs on it when purchased
picked up a good pair of rebuilt stock carbs from a 74 z1a, have the 2 screws on top covers, and side angled drain screws on the bowls
other modifications include K&N pods, V&H 4-1 with a cone engineering reverse cone megaphone, dyna s ignition, dyna coils and wires.
im going to have a pro go through and do all the synch and tune, im just looking for advice on what size jets i should pick up before hand so i dont have to pay his prices to get them.
Thanks KZR community!

The carbs you've chosen are an unusual choice, so I expect you're going to have to experiment a little bit. There's no guarantee that these won't work stock. The good news is that they appear to be the same carbs used by Harley for that time period, so getting the parts should be relatively easy.

FYI the Mikuni RS series of carbs were not around in 1977. The carbs you have sound like the Mikuni VM 28's, a good carb and should work fine.

Didn't catch that. At least the info I posted can be used as a guide.
My st has an 1105 kit.with short duration cams, air box with K&N
and stock pipes. Cams are high lift, short duration, .390ish lift,
266°. Jetting is; 17.5 pilot, needle raised one notch and 115 mains.
I'm running the stock vm28 pumper carbs. The non pumper carbs
will need a little more fuel
