Hi guys,
I'm rebuilding my 900 with a 10.5:1 1015 kit and a set of k410 cams. 4-1 with pods. Got a deal on a set of 33 smoothies off of kzr and I'm looking to se if these will be a good fit on this combo? What would a good starting point be on the jetting?

thanks,
Joe

33's are a little large for a 1015 c.c. would work better with more c.c. , like 1132 c.c. to 1260 c.c. IMO  29 smoothbores would give you better throttle response and work better for any of these Z's , 903c.c. ,1015 c.c. ,1045 c.c., 1075 c.c. no matter what compression you use  ..... :pinch: yet 33's are still doable if that's what you got......

I am going with a set of CR33's on my 1015 10.5:1 build. Ported head, bigger valves, GPZ cams, and Dyna2000 ignition.
Just remember that the stock head with those tiny intake runners can only flow so much. Someone had the flow charts for the different heads and carbs but I can't find it to save my life.
I spent way too much time evenly porting my head to match my carbs. I

I do plan on refurbishing the head with the top end rebuild. I may have psp clean up the ports while they're in there. Any ideas on what you're with for a initial starting point on the jetting Crazy Duck? I've only been playing with kz's for a couple years now and I've yet to mess with any carbs bigger than vm28's,
Thanks,
Joe

What size jet is in the carbs now. That would be a good starting point.Since your running more air than the 28mm carbs, you may have to go with a 25 main jet to start with.Make sure you ream out the intake manifolds to match the diameter of the head port. Those 33s should run great on that build, you'll just need a little more fuel for the extra air.

I had 33s on my 1105 10.5-1, street ported 395lift 260 duration motor and they ran good wide open but never could get them to idle consistently. swapped them for a set of 29s and am much happier with them. Your results may vary
