What carbs would this filter fit (44mm OD on carb)
01 Nov 2013 06:51
So.....I bought this airfilter off eBay thinking it would fit my BS34's, but they have a bell-mouth OD of 55mm. The boots on this Henry Abe filter have an ID on the boots that attach to the carb bell-mouths of 44mm.
Before I go and try to hack up this thing to open up the holes to 55mm and then try and find some boots to fit it, I wanted to see if this was designed for a different (VM style?) carb stack, and if so, maybe sell it to someone else who could use it as is.
Any ideas?

The would fit the Mikuni 26/28/29s. I just bought a set of pods for my carbs and that's the right size.

Well I guess I'll put it up for sale and see if someone wants it. It would make a nice addition to a retro/cafe build.....no point in me butchering it.
