Which Dynojet Kit for a 1982 KZ1000 LTD

As a part of my build, I plan on running a custom exhaust as well as a Henry Abe filter box to try and avoid the hassle of single pods....this may or may not be easier, but I think it looks cool in a retro way.

Nonetheless, in scanning the Dynoject site, and scouring eBay I have seen 2 different Dynojet kit part numbers (2301 and 2134) that overlap for my model and year of bike. I'm guessing that this is because maybe, some bike came with CV carbs and some with the VM carbs.

I'm pretty sure my bike has the BS34 Mikuni's, and so I am trying to determine which is the correct jet kit. One kit has main jets around the 120's and the other listed for an LTD or CSR has jets 160's; This is a huge difference!! :S

Can someone please help?

My bike has the Stage III Dynojet kit. My bike has 140 jets in it. Another member told me the other day that Dynojet jets are numbered differently than factory jets. Mine crosses over to around 131 factory size.

Not sure if maybe the first kit is factory jets and the other kit is their own Dynojet kit. Just throwing that out there as you never know.

You can google the cross reference and find out what size jets they equal to, but first I would make sure it is their own jets in both of those kits. My bike is an LTD.

Those two kits are identical, except for the extra range of main jets. The sage 1-3 kit, 2134 would be your best bet. It will give you both stage 1 and stage 3 jetting. You have more main jets to play with as you keep tweaking for extra power.

Are you sure about that? The fuel needles and jets are all different part numbers, and the 2134 doesn't come with any air corrector jets...
