Broken Petcock Intake

Is it ok to use this petcock without the intake tower? I just pulled this from my gas tank because the petcock was leaking and the carbs were also over flowing in storage.

The gaskets and valve components were rotted and chewed up pretty bad so I'll either be getting a rebuild kit or a new petcock.

That is both the Inlet Screen/ Filter, and has the 2 different height tubes for the ON and RES settings. You can get a replacement for it still I'm pretty sure depending on model.

If the bolt hole spacing is 34mm, you might be able to use a petcock from a late model Police bike.
