I have a set of carbs that were given to me that are for a kz but im not sure which one they are. They look rough but I got the slides to move freely. One thing that puzzles me is that if you look under the carb and the float bowl area there is a spot where it looks like there should be an adjustment screw. Like a mixture screw. But there is none. I shined a light in the hole and there is no threads for a screw. Ive read on one of the carb rebuilding sites on here that there was a set of carbs that are un tuneable. Im wondering if I have those and if they are worth messing with.

Also another carb question is about the carbs with the accelerator pump. Are these any good? and how hard are they to get parts for. My friend has my good carbs on a customers bike and wants to trade me a set of those but some one has taken the pump off and put a block off plate on them. I would like them to be complete but dont see the missing pieces in rebuild kits.

Not sure exactly what bike those were originally from but they look very similar to the VM26 carbs that came stock on the 77-78 Kz1000.

Those are really rough. They are a VM-style carb, or at least they used to be.
AFA the carbs with the accelerator pump, if they are missing the pumps they are worthless IMHO. That is their whole value, and the pumps are made of unobtainium.

Those carbs will clean up. They have value. We need right side up pics of the pumper carbs you are referencing to.

They look like they were painted black once - but I can't identify them either.

My wife asked me if I still loved her - I said "Honey, I love you more than new carburetor boots ! "

Those look just like the VM26 carbs that came on my 78 KZ1000. That set is pretty crusty. They are a fairly common carb and easy to find parts for. Not the greatest for performance in my opinion.

Check the size of the venturi, if 26mm better look for a good a set of 28's than put time and money in those, if they're 26's.

It is common for people to block off the accelerator pump on the KZ1000 carbs. When jetted properly, it runs better than with the pumps. I suspect the pumps were to compensate for leaner jetting to pass emissions. Eliminate the pump, fatten the jetting, and the carbs work like classic slide carbs were meant to.
