kz440 float bowl o-ring was created by stmats
I've been trying to get this old bike running. In the process of cleaning out the carbs, I noticed that the float bowl o-rings were hard, dry and not likely to seal well again. After searching all over town, I finally broke down and ordered a set from fleabay. I got the new o-rings today, but they're about 1mm too small and won't stay in the groove long enough for me to re-attach the float bowl. Can I expand the rings by warming them up or should I just send them back and order from the dealer?

I would return them and buy the correct parts. You really don't want to end up with gasoline running onto a hot engine. The carb bowl o-rings are still an "Active" Kawasaki part, so any local or online dealer can get them for you. Partzilla lists them at $9.99 each.

You should add you bike's year and model to your signature line; it makes it MUCH easier for us to help you.

If you want to save money, there is no need to buy super expensive OEM Kawasaki o`rings.
See my post below, it is for KEIHIN CV34 carbs.
