Maybe I should take up a cheaper hobby. Horse racing for example.

Hi guys!
Have this problem for two years, with no solution.
First of all bike is stock 1984 GPZ 750, with stock Mikuni BS34 carbs. I now have 120 main jet because of the 4-1 exhaust.
If the bike's been left for 3,4 days, week or two, she will start without problem with choke pulled out. When she starts, she works on only 1100rpm with full choke. After she was driven in that day, she would also start without choke no problem, with a bit of throttle.
BUT
If she was driven yesterday, and try to start her this morning, she would catch on first turn, and then die. No amount of cranking will make her start. Only hope is starting with throttle without choke. Cleaned carbs multiple times, no results. Checked float level, everything is fine. Vacum syncronisation, she idles great. If i start her after week of sitting, she known to run on 3 cylinders first 10,20 seconds. Carbs overflowing? Overflow tubes are dry always.
After it's started bikes always idles and runs good. no issues there.

Have you checked the valve clearances, what is the compression?

Unless its has pods you haven't mentioned its jetted way too rich. Don't know if this has anything to do with your problem but do not touch the throttle when using the choke, throttle must be closed for chokes to work
