If your bike has that "Clean Air System" with hoses going to the valve cover that can be blocked off. If you do a search on this site you will see how.

Also, if you have the vacuum operated petcock you can replace it with a manual petcock and cap that vacuum port on the carb.

Earlier KZ's (like mine) had no vacuum hoses at all coming from the carbs. The only hoses are the single fuel line, the 2 vent tubes, and the 4 overflow tubes. Ed

The only vacuum hose that is needed is to the petcock. Or if you want to turn it to Prime for it to work, you could do away with it also. Now the Vent and drain hoses, those you should leave alone.
