Help! Rough idle, only runs with choke (video) was created by joshw

My 1978 KZ650 finally has started after 2 weeks of not working. Now it's smoking and will not run without the choke. Any thoughts why?

Your carbs are clogged up, take them off and CLEAN them thoroughly. Pay particular attention to the idle circuit and make sure all passegeways in the carb bodies are clear.

Pilot jets and passage to idle mixture screw and air jet could all be involved. Like the man says clean them up.
