Guys, I have been working on a 77 KZ1000A, it was all stock. I have added KN air filters and a MAC exhaust. After a few tries at increasing the main jets to 130's it seems to be running at the correct mixture, runs great, except at idle, it's a little erratic. When it's cold say from start up till about 15 minutes of riding it will idle down and die if I don't use the throttle. I can adjust the idle screw, but then when it gets good and warmed up it will idle to high. The carbs currently have pilot jets installed they are #17. Seems to me that this needs to be increased to make up for the improved air flow.
Questions are.
1. Am I correct? do I need larger pilot jets?
2. If I am correct what size jet would you think I should try?
