Pulled all four carbs apart today, they've been dry for way too long! Luckly the floats are still good, i think the carb bodies just need a reeeeaaaaal good cleaning. Ordered a rebuild kit for all 4 carbs - cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=390541346223 - says it comes with two different size mains and secondaries- what are the OEM sizes? Can I put in the bigger ones and tune from there? Do I need bigger needles for bigger jets? I've never been to good with carb'd vehicles. I may just rebuild them and have the local bike shop jet/tune them right.

Under the silver plug is the pilot jet.Soak them in Gunk Carb Cleaner (the gallon can) before you try to remove ANTTHING!!!! For at least an hour, maybe two.You could go with the larger pilot jet,but if you are going to run pods & a headder,go with 142.5 large head mains.BTW...The lower legs from the fairing set are rare.Hard to come by.
