Tool to adjust idle mixture screw? was created by anotherZ
It is such a painful process to adjust the idle screw, especially on carb number 2 with the accelerator pump. Somewhere I have seen a plastic know stuck on the idle screw to make it adjustable by hand. Does anyone know of this? Any other homemade tools to recommend? Bike is a 79 lTD 1000. Thanks!

I built a 'screwdriver' from an old spoke - use the knurl with a 1/4" of the spoke sticking, ground down to a flat tip about a millimeter thick and the width of the spoke.

Good suggestions, thanks! I have been experimenting with a ground down bit inside a plastic tube that fits right over the idle screw. That makes it easier to access the carb with the accelerator pump. will post a pic, when I have it ready.
