And this might be the reason why my engine runs really really bad.
I bought it a couple of weeks ago, really cheap, with a todo-list to work through before the bike will run again.
Okay. So now I have the bike. with 4 pods, instead of a air box.
Is there a good way to "repair" this, without buing a new air box?
I would like to have pods, I like the look.
Sooo. Is it possible to make the engine run "good enough" with CV's & pods?
I guess that it is the loss of vacuum, around the vacuum piston that makes the bike go really bad?! Could it help with a vacuum hose connected at the top of each carburetor, so that all cylinders vacuum affect all vacuum pistons?
I dont know if I explained it good enough.
My main quiestion: can I make my bike run good enough with pods?
Thanks!

Seems like everyone with a CV carb has problems with the pods.

I see Z1 E also sell the Dynojet kit and have heard people have had good success with this.
Other reasons the bike runs like crap could be valve clearance, poor spark , compression or dirty carbs if bike was sitting for a while and or gas tank rusty.

LMR wrote: Thanks! Buying the jets one by one is a lot more expensive than buying that set. But... Do they usually fit directly, or do you need to change some of the jets?
Not sure i understand.
The Dynojet kit is $98. The individual brass (the brass ones are the ones you want) Keihin jets are $1.75 each so is you buy 4x135 and 4x 62 that's only $14 and if you decide to try the 70 and 140 combination at the same time then that's just another $14.
Each jet has the # stamped on the top on the rim and with my eyesight I need a magnifying glass to see the #. It would be good to know what you have to start with.
When replacing jets just unscrew the old and screw in the new
Good luck

No only those with problems. There are plenty of CV carbs running fine with pods.
But if you are not into tuning carbs, then the airbox with stock exhaust and stock jets are a safe bet.
