Does anyone know what the jet size should be for a 78 KZ650 SR D1A that has Pod Air Filters and a 4 into 1 exhaust. Not sure it was ever rejetted for these.
Any Help from you Wizards would be Greatly Appreciated!

The D1a came stock with vm22ss carbs - I would suggest as a starting point the following
110 mains
17.5 pilot
remove and do not replace the #50 jets from on top of the pilots
Please note I said this is a starting point - you may find you need a smaller main and can keep the original 15 pilot.

Thanks for the the starting point Bud. Now the trick is to find someone who sells these sizes.
Is it possible to drill out your own sizes using a MICROMETER? If all else fails of course.

You can get the mains from Z1E for 1.25 each
If you got the two next sizes up it would only cost you ten bucks plus shipping.

There is something otherworldy about experiencing the sound of an air cooled inline four redlined while heeled over at 35 degrees from horizontal, with the slipping rear tire violently trying to shake you from your perch atop the slewing beast..

Get hold of Jeff at Z1, very knowledgeable and helpful crowd there, with pods and a 4-1 you would want a Dynojet stage 3 kit, should put you right on the money, if not bloody close.
