Hi. Have an original 100% stock 77 KZ1000 LTD. Bike was built 5/77. Less than 3000 miles. Only non factory installed parts are the battery and oil. It has always run great. Now misfiring on #1.Pipe stays cold after 2, 3 and 4 red hot. No change Hot or cold start. Compression 151 in #1. 150 #2. 151 #3 149 #4. #1 Carb looks clean. Checked and cleaned jet, pilot, installed NOS float and float valve assembly. Spark there. Swapped plugs and caps from 4. Cut off 1/4 from plug lead. New gas. Petcock spotless clean.

installed NOS float -- if not already done, would perform the clear tube test to determine whether fuel level is within specs.
Good Fortune!

Have you pulled the plug to see if it's wet? Pulled the #1 carb bowl or drain screw to see if it's getting fuel? Could be a sticky or blocked needle valve trickling fuel into the bowl.
