Mikuni BS34s won't idel down was created by nivlac
I just cleaned up a set of Mikuni BS 34s and installed them on my KZ1100. They are identical to my originals but in better condition. I can't seem to get them to return to idle w/o pulling down the main linkage control by hand. It almost seems like the return spring isn't strong enough to bring it down to it's idle position. They seem to be operating perfectly aside from this issue. I'm getting ready to reinstall my air box but wanted my carbs in tiptop shape before I changed over. Any ideas?

Also be sure of the throttle cable slack. Make sure all vacuum fitting are hooked up or plugged off.

Currently w/o.Waiting for boot delivery trying to get the new carbs to come around prior to installing the boots and box. The current older carbs had pods on them. Currently haven't installed the pods on the rebuilt units.

after air box is in your going to need a carb sync

Yes it seems like the cable is slack after I pull the main cable linkage down to idle. Vacuum fittings are hooked up or plugged just as the old ones.

Why is that? I thought syncing only made the carbs run in unison.
