KZ650 78 Starts Great Warm but Hardly Starts Cold? was created by RTZ
Hello All,
My KZ650 takes forever to start when cold, if at all. After trying for a long time then letting it sit for a bit it will start. Once the bike is started it runs and starts great. If I let it sit for longer than one hour it is impossible to start again. I just cleaned and replaced the jets in the carbs to rectify the problem but it did not help, any suggestions?
Thank you!

Entire pilot circuit should be "as new" clean.
Entire enrichener (choke) circuit should be "as new" clean.
When starting the engine on choke, don't touch the throttle grip.
Good Fortune!
