Lectron carbs question was created by anotherZ
So I just picked up this bike with Lectron carbs on it. It hasn't been on the street in a while since the previous owner was turning it into a drag bike. Long story short, I want to get it back on the street. I rode around the block and it runs great at high rpm (my guess >6000 or so, it has no gauges). However idle is high and midrange sucks as well. There are no filters on there and I have not tried to adjust anything except the idle screws. I know that the carbs have no pilot screws and I believe they have no pilot jets, so what should be the first thing to try?

Thanks everyone!

Lectron carbs are more suitable for racing than the street. If it was mine I would sell the Lectron carbs and put a set of street carbs on it. My $.02 Ed

 lectrons are not suitable for street use :pinch: , they are sold as a "race" carburetor.. no real idle circuit, jetting is all done by (adjustable) needle taper and height......always seems hard to get em spot on for street use......... :pinch:

My.02.....sell em and get some mikuni 34 mm radial flat slides

Lectrons have no choke. Ever wonder why? Because they idle like you have the choke on all the time and can never turn it off.
