The K1 throttle will have a Pull only cable. The 28's would have had a Pull and Push set up. But you really only need the pull. The cable length and the attachment at the housing will be different, so you may need to make/ modify a cable. Or search for a cable for the adaption.
The switches on the housing might have different plugs, may have different wire colors, but the functions can be made to work. You may need to do some wiring but otherwise it shouldn't be a problem. You should look at your wiring diagram, then the K1 wiring diagram. Both will have a switch contact chart showing the contacts made to corresponding wires.
