The Pine Sol Soak was created by kzz1king
Dropped the carbs in straight pine sol tonight. How long do you let them soak? Any downside to not rushing it? Thanks.

I'd check them after an hour, if no damage(discoloration), try several hours, but not overnight.

if you wanna speed it up
50/50 with water
boil once and let cool
it helps to have a big pot
and no wife
to use this procedure

Sounds like a good method but if you start with a wife you may not have one when you get done. Mine still hasn't forgotten I used her pot to boil my deer heads!

I soaked them close to 24 hours and have noticed no problems other than jets getting a dark color. Cleaned the grease off really nice but the carbs have that dull gray that old carbs have. I don't think the pinesol caused any change in the color of the aluminium. shiny parts in and they still came out shiny!
