Stage 2/3 Jetting was created by freakinbike
I put Harley mufflers on my KZ750. I already need a carb rebuild, so while I'm at it, should I go with Stage 2 or 3 jetting?(also going to put on pods) Please forgive my newbieness, I'm very new to this, but not a stranger to garage work. On descriptions for both Stage 2 and 3 jet kits, they are described as for use with well designed pipes. Should I just move one step up on the jets? (the bike is running lean, but maybe the rebuild will solve that)

Thanks!

It has been my experience that the "stage 2 and stage 3" jet kits are basicly the same. The only thing different you are doing on a stage 3 kit is putting in larger main jets. Larger mains will only effect the upper RPM's where you really don't spend much time at.
And now because you put a harley part on you Kawasaki it will start leaking oil and fail to start on you.

I believe your bike came with CV carbs. If so, don't destroy the airbox as you may want to go back to using it after you get tired of fiddling with the carb jetting for pods. ;)

yes the jets are a pain, I could mess with them for days and find out the fuel filter was the problem.
