I plan on installing a set of BS34's on a 1979 KZ650 this spring. Are there any good tips that would make the install easy?

not sure how big your carb holders are, take some from a 1980 750 and they should fit, are those cvc or slidebore carbs?

Am wondering if BS34 may be too much carb for KZ650.

Fitment issues aside, any particular reason for abandoning the stock manual slide carbs?

And with regard to tuning, pods are even more problematic on CV carbs.

Good Fortune! :)

I've heard that the BS34 CV carbs improve performance and throttle response. I intend to have the head rebuilt and ported, new cams, and maybe a 700 cc kit. The BS34's are to compliment the modifications. B)

I don't think you ll have any problems putting them on, I personally dont like bs34. mine work ok but to temperamental. But I ve got pods and might be why I ve got a slight hickup at low rpm. Back to your question good luck if you use them. One throttle cable is nice.

bad monkey, pods on cvc's don't work well. maybe if you can link them together somehow.
