Hey everyone
I'm replacing my Fuel line
I looked up the size on Kawasaki.com
The sizes are as follows
7.5x12.5x225
5x9x150
6.5x9.5x300
I have a couple of questions
I'm assuming the last number is the length
But what are the others ID OD?
I know this is pretty remedial but i don't have calipers to check my self
Also when replacing the hose anything.I should keep in mind?(fastners/hose colors)
I'm.thinking about going with a braided/clear style hose but its a purely stylistic choice and I want to make sure that its not going to be problematic
Also my petcock has three positions on reserve and primary I took my tank off yesterday and my clymer manual Stated that when you take off the tank set it to pri so that it doesn't leak gas so i did and gas still came out o noticed it has two hoses coming off it but the gas only came out the "main" hose (Idk if it is but it was the larger hose hence my wording) what did I do wrong or is there possibly a problem? So that next time I do this I dont spill Any gas if at all possible
Btw what's the smaller hose?

Most hoses available in the U.S. are 3/16" and 1/4" I.D. Don't forget to buy the small hose clamps to secure the new hoses to the fuel fittings, although some small black ty-wraps may work just as well. The white ty-wraps are not resistant to UV(sunlight), and will fail fairly quick.

The hoses will expand slightly to slide on the fuel fittings. I think Pep Boys(an auto parts store in the U.S.) and others sell the fuel hose by the foot.

3/16 1/4 is the inner diameter?

The 650-CSR uses 5/16" fuel line & 1/4" vacuum line.

The smaller hose attached to the petcock is usually attached to a vacuum nipple on the carb or carb holder.

A running engine supplies vacuum through the smaller hose, which causes the petcock to allow gasoline flow in the ON position and in the RES position.

Awesome thanks for the info
So if I were to change the petcock would I have to have one with the vaccum fitting?

The bolt-hole spacing is 34mm. If you want a new vacuum petcock, I believe one from a late model Police bike could be used - it will have a vacuum port as will any vacuum petcock. You can install a manual fuel valve; remove the vacuum line & cap the port. KZR topic - Manual fuel valve option

Get a Kawasaki factory manual - 81-82 KZ650. The Clymer is too confusing for use w the CSR.

yeah i completly agree about the manuals its next to impossible to find correct information about sized or anything for that matter
ok
so if i were to try to convert the petcock to this:
www.dimecitycycles.com/vintage-cafe-race...petcock-48-9638.html
how much modification are we talking?
i dont mind doing some modifying but is it mechanically possible

It would be easier & cheaper to get one in the KZR link I provided, as they are direct bolt-on.
For the one you linked you'll need an adapter plate kit & the tank bung hole will have to be reamed about ~2-4mm. Also, not sure, but you'll have to check the carb top clearance.
