Carburetor upgrades for a 1983 Kz550 ltd

Hi fellow riders out there, Im new to KZR as well as a new rider so forgive me for if i sound unexperienced. Im building back up a 83 kz550 ltd and im looking for upgraded carbs that will use the air pod filters. I want to make it a bobber style so alot of stock parts i want to take off and give it a cool look. My friend that gave me the bike said i currently have the stock carburetors that will work with air intake breather box, so if any body can share links to good useful sites that sell upgraded carbs, carb rebuild kits etc...for this bike or any further advise and tips id really appreciate it.

Just take the airbox out and install pod filters on your existing carbs then jet them to work. No reason to spend the money on different carbs.

Your bike should have mechanical slide carbs which should be okay w the pods. CV carbs w pods are harder to deal with. loudhvx has a good motorcycle stuff page w lots of 550 info in his signature.
