Wrong Carb..might still work?

Howdy,

So...I made a dumb mistake and ordered the wrong carb body to replace one of my original carbs, thinking that it was the same one. However, they are actually identical except for ONE thing. There is an extra hole in the venturi next to where the jet needle sits. I'm not 100% sure what it is, but I'm guessing it may be a secondary main jet or something? I noticed I could possibly tap the one that doesn't have the hole, but could I get away just plugging the extra hole and running it that way? Thoughts?
