1980 KZ750H back on the rack was created by Slowpoke
I recently bought a 1980 KZ750 H and took the carbs off to clean, and took them off the rack. All clean now, but putting them back on has stumped me. I can get the racks on to connect them, and the side with the throttle cable with the hook to the side with the washer and spring, but the other side is confusing me. It's the side that moves the butterfly valves, one side has a horseshoe type shape with flared ends, and the other side has a spring with two somewhat strait pieces that open and close the valves. I'm banging my head against the wall over it, and figured if anyone knows what I'm talking about and can help it's you guys. Sorry I have no pictures to put up. Hopefully you know what I'm describing though. Thanks in advance, I'll have pictures up once I get her going!

Do you have a manual? There should be some pictures and parts diagrams in there that will help. If not, try looking up the
parts diagrams
on Kawasaki.com.

I don't have the service manual, and the diagrams aren't of any help since it only shows the exloded view, not how they connect.

go here
kzrider.com/filebase/cat_view/231-not-model-specific?start=140
on page 8 and scroll down to "BS Carb Cleaning Series" click on view or download under it. its not shown on a kawasaki but it should help if you have BS34 carbs.

I got it all figured out and it's back on the bike! (after fighting with the boots for about an hour) We'll see how she runs this weekend. Thanks everyone
