Cough

What is the little cough i hear comeing from my carbs when i give it some throttle it doesn't happen all the time just some times

Could be a lot of things. Valve clearances adjusted? Timing set? Points fresh? Condensors fresh? Have you read the Filebase article on "coil powering"? Note not one of the things I mentioned had anything to do with carburetion or your fuel system.
