Hi my first post! Does anyone no where i can buy intake manifolds, for my
1981 kawasaki kz 1000 j. I want to use a set of mukuni 34 mm smooth bores.
But the stock intakes do not fit , need the intakes for mukuni carbs

Are you sure they aren't 33 smoothbores?A set of carb boots for bs34 carbs off a j series bike might work for you.
That's a lot of carb for a stock motor B)

nope they are 34 mm mukuni carbs and no the intakes of an 1981 kz1000 J do not fit to small

Are you talking about the Mikuni RS34, if so, your stock intake manifolds should work. Someone might have swapped the originals to smaller ones on your bike. Here are RS36's on stock KZ1000J manifolds.

I used J-Model Intake boots to attach my RS-34 Mikuni......???????

schnitz sells them for $20 each fits keihin's 33 smoothbore mikuni, rs series mikuni.
Kawasaki oem #16065-1135 . if memory serves me right these will fit the stock cv mikuni's

NOTE: these will not work for (stock)26mm 28mm or 29 mm smoothbores mikuni's (too big)

Stock Mikuni Cv manifolds will work on 33s, I had a set on my bike
