Bench sync, broken set plates was created by daless
When I first attempted to bench sync my VM29s it seems I was a bit too rough with the adjustment and lock screws. Ended up twisting, then finally breaking in half a couple of the soft little double washer things that connect the two screws (actually called "set plates", #78).

Now I have to re-do the bench sync on account of an improperly set idle adjuster screw and I'll be face to face with those ugly broken pieces again. I'd love to replace them but can't find anything on Z1 or Ebay. Any suggestions other than fashioning my own out of a beer can?

Seems that Sudco no longer carries #78

Beer can fabbing route would seem a viable option.

Good Fortune! :)

Nice. The more I think of the beer can route the more I like it.

Now, what beer to buy? Decisions, decisions...
