Im on ebay and need to know the size and name of the fitting to adjust the floats using the clear tube method
Im at my wits end dealing with these carbs but I know this will end a lot of my headache.
In the picture below I need to know what the piece is called and the size of threads on the left. I am going to fit four of them to my carbs permanently.

All my problems almost disappeared after I adjusted my floats.
Turning the choke on doesn't red line my engine any more. My idle screws are active when I turn them in or out and the idle during cold and hot are controllable through the chokes cycle between temperatures without much fluctuation in RPMs. I still have to adjust more precisely but I found a have a worn needle (thing that lets fuel in and shuts it off inside the carb) The name escapes me right now. But I reset the float hight and BAM problem was still mostly solved.
Those floats are very important!
Anyways since you bring up Sea Foam, how does that do in the oil for cleaning the engine out?

With the gasket on, I adjusted them to the lower end of of the bowls rim. Due to lack of tools, resources and money, I did all I could to get them as good as I could. On that note; my list of tools to buy multiplied haha. They aren't perfect but it runs much better. I need new boots now though. When I put the carbs back on last night I beat up and punctured a couple of the boots on the Airbox side.
