The unnumbered spring metal washer ring goes between the lever and cover plate, as shown in the diagram.

Good Fortune! :)

Ok I had it separating the lever and the gasket. Could that have caused my problem?

Could have let the gas flow like the Amazon no matter the lever position or if the bike is running or not.

Hoping gasket 11009A hasn't been damaged.

Good Fortune! :)

haha it appears to still be in good shape. I'll update as soon as I can put it back in the tank and test it out. Probably not until after the weekend.

Yes if that spring washer is where you had it that will cause the seal to warp and create a channel. you may be good to go. my petcock was so worn it was warped thats why mine didnt work. you may be ok after correct reassembly

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationok guys it's a no-go. I reinstalled the petcock today and wasted another 1/4 Gal of gas. Prime functions properly, but on "ON" it leaks a lot, and on "res" it leaks a little. When i suck on the vac line it leaks a whole lot, so i think the o-ring just isn't seating properly.

I'm probably going to pull the trigger on this manual one:

I'm just worried about the line coming out of the side like that and interfering with stuff.

Although it's aftermarket, i'm hoping it holds up and doesn't leak. Let me know what you think.

yea, make sure your passages are nice and clear and clean and that your vac line is in good shape. Good luck

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationNo eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationOk guys looks like I pulled the trigger on a manual petcock from Brown Family Racing on the Ebays. They're bought by him, then he modifies them to be better I guess, so hopefully they'll be a little better than a china petcock for a Raptor which would also fit. Thanks to Martin CSR though for the tip on using them.

I'll update once installed. Thanks for your help guys.

I installed the new petcock today. It works great. 10x simpler than the stock vac one.Had to re-route the fuel line a little because the port comes out to the side of the new one instead of straight back, but it worked out fine.

much simpler....

If you need a bike in the mean time you can always go out and buy one of them plastic in line valves from your local autoparts store. Will warn you though. Theres almost no way to fit it in there to look like its all stock. My hands were too big and stupid to fit between the tank and carbs to turn it on/off on my 81' KZ1000. I ended up just making my own. I got one of those little bleeder valves that they use on commercial pop machines where it has a little rod going through for the handle on the valve.

Just like that. Me and my dad casted an aluminum mount for the tank and i drilled and tapped the holes for the valve. The line out is actually a small piece of metal brake line and the gasket that seals the mounting plate to the tank is bicycle inter tube from some old tires we had laying around.
